FS: Clear e8x 128i 135i Depo with T5 SMD Angel
I am selling my depo projectors. They are the rarer clear with the grey inner trim. I was going to eventually retrofit FX-R projectors (Which I can add to the sale). I did not want continue with the project and ended up reverting to my original lights. As you can read on my post below: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641320 I ended up using a drop-in H7 4300k (Premium rebased Phillips bulbs) kit instead, which although looked spectacular at night and was an improvement over the h7 halogen used in the projector. It did not provide the lumens potency of an oem set of xenons that I was expecting, although most people would find them adequate enough. The lights have the original T5 halogen angel eye bulbs included and the updated smd leds (4300K) installed. Lights were installed and used for a short period of time. The bulb access doors have two 1" diameter openings which I had created for the xenon harness pass-thru. I've provided some pricing options. I am open to reasonable offers or package deal suggestions. Depos with SMD T-5 installed (No H7 halogen bulbs or turnsignals included) - 350 shipped Depos with SMD T-5 installed and H7 Philips rebased drop in kit (No H7 halogen bulbs, ballasts, or turnsignals included but includes the xenon harness which has gasket to cover the pass-thru)-375 shipped Depos with SMD T-5 installed and a pair of FX-R retrofit projectors (No H7 halogen bulbs, ballasts, or turnsignals included)- 400shipped I also have a pair of "anti-flicker" can-bus error cancellers, which may or not be needed depending on the actual ballast used for the xenon retrofit. I needed them for my TRS (The Retrofit Store) Morimoto ballasts used. 25 shipped |

Correct. These would only work with a 128i in the U.S. since they're only compatible with cars originally equipped with halogen lights.

It will work with your 128i. Regarding coding; I installed my TRS morimoto kit and upon startup it flickered the lights. I had to use a combination of coding [removal of bulb check feature], and a can-bus harness to simulate 55w consumption on the xenons. If you use coding it also removes other unwanted features like drls and amber parking lamps. A digital slim ballast like the "autovizion" brand it will work without the can-bus harness. Let me be clear. Getting the retrofit setup to work requires a little bit of patience and trial and error. Its recomended to find an individual with access to the coding software. I found mine on craigslist. I got mine to work, but ultimately i was expecting near oem xenon brightness, which was not the case. I was planning on retrofitting a pair of fxr projectors, but i chose not continue with the project. I may revisit it in the future, but i don't have as much free time to work on it now so hence, they are for sale

So, new to this as well. I would consider those just for the reason of having the angle eyes, no xenon required. Would that be a simple exchange without coding?

Correct. It is plug and play. Angel eyes would work without having fo code. In my opinion, i would still suggest to code, only to remove the amber parking lights. That would enhance the overall effect.
