New - Aero-7 & Michelin PSS!!

Finally got rid of the run-flats!! Got my Aero-7’s and Michelin PSS mounted over the weekend, initial impression in one word – WOW, what a difference a good set of tires makes. Gone is the crashing effect over pumps, and the constant flash of the DCT light . In general, the car feels much more stable at high speeds, and more stable in corners. Overall much more controlled driving experience. I went back and forth a bit on tires, almost went with the Conti DW’s which I have on my E46 M3; so glad I went with the PSS, as a whole the Michelin are in a different league in my opinion. Another thing I immediately noticed was the 8-10lb/corner weight savings with this wheel/tire combo; not a substantial difference, but definitely noticeable..
I know there are already a few pictures of the AW/Aero 7 combo, but I thought I would post a couple of quick pic’s anyway, enjoy…! Quick shout out to Eddie at Apex for the quick shipping on the Aero-7’s, another beautiful and lightweight set of wheels, this is my second set of wheels from this guy; amazing product at a great price.

Looks sick bro! Congrats!

How Reliable are these wheels ?? i mean if we compare them to the Breyton's , is there any cracking horror story following their trail or do they have a good record or reliability ??

plus if you don't mind detailing the offset you have and the price you got them for.

Thanks

Thanks! I was pretty damn excited with the end result...

Never had an issue with Apex wheels; I had a set of the Arc8 on an M Roadster, never had an issue. Also, the wheels are VIA/JWL certified with a 1580lb load rating which is pretty high.. Eddie designed these particular wheels anticipating that people would try to stretch the stock rubber which is pretty hard on wheels; they also have a 2 year structural warranty, so I couldn't ask for more.

Wheels are 18x8-45mm offset front, and 18x9-50mm offset rear; tires are 225/40 front 255/35 rear. Obviously no rubbing issues with stock suspension.

I paid list with free shipping as part of a group buy; give Eddie at Apex a call for current pricing/group buy options.

If your in the market for new wheels/tires you should take a serious look at this combo; with the 1 specific fitment on the wheels it was an easy decision, was also very happy to steer clear of the CSL look-a likes that everyone gravitates towards...! The tires were also an easy choice picked up the set from discount tire for $1,130.00 including mount/balance/toms sensor rebuild kit...

Absolutely love them; ride is 10x better IMO, no more crashing over every bump (even a friend from my office commented on how much better the car handled bumps while riding in it today), car seems more stable/planted etc. Seriously worth the money... Now on to the suspension!
