Tires in the GTA
Hey all,
I'm looking for other members' experiences on buying tires in the GTA - I'm looking for a good, full service vendor who has prices comparable to someone like TireRack in the U.S., but is located in Canada. Is there anyone out there? I like to support the local economy, but I also like to pay a competitive price. For those who have ordered from TireRack, do you still end up saving money once all is said and done with shipping/duty/taxes/brokerage/etc? I've got lots of rubber to buy this spring and am looking to avoid breaking the bank. Thanks! |

I just got a price quote from Tires23 (Mississauga, Dixie & 401). Funny, their prices are EXACTLY the same as if you'd order from TireRack.
Let's see, I was asking for 2 x 225/40/18 + 2 x 255/35/18:
All prices above are final cash, with taxes, fees and installation included. So, essentially, Tires23 order tires from TireRack, probably with some kind of wholesale discount, and for us, customers, Tires23 add a free installation. So, if anybody know a better/cheaper place in GTA, please share! |

Tires23 ftw, I've purchased 4 sets of tires from them so far and referred friends and families there. I've just recently ordered Continental DW Extremes for my gold VB3's and to be installed first week of April.

Another good shop is Simply Tire in North York if that's closer for you.

Thanks again to all y'all for the replies. I called all the shops mentioned here, but specifically Alan at Simply Tire and Ben at Tires 23 offered great customer service and very competitive pricing. I ended up going with Simply Tire as they're a better location for me, but both are very recommended.
