ESS Tune with the European Headers and relocated Sensors....

Im still getting code 2C9C (Pre Cat O2 sensor heater input signal bank one)

Any advice here.....I feel the tune and its diffference on the "butt dyno" but I have no idea how I can get rid of this light. Before I go call Roman I was wondering if anyone has any sound advice.

Thanks you.

I have been running the European headers with relocated O2s and EGT for a little over 2 years now. I have a stock DME/ECU (no chip) and have not seen any codes so far. You can read about my setup below and page 2 has information and pics on how the recall was done.

Garage List
On my build I had two faults:

1) 2C7E - Oxygen sensor after Cat trim control
2) 2C93 - Exhaust gas temp sensor plausibility

After a metric TON of frustration (moving bungs, shortening bungs etc etc), they were both because of a faulty gasket. Easily fixed, and no codes since.

Never had a 2C9C though, sorry. Build link here: http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthre...t=euro+headers

I would hate to have to change gaskets and sensors again but it seems like the only remedy at this point.

I thought pre-cats aren't affected, its the post cats ones that are turned down in sensitivity. Sounds like a bad front sensor, or installed in the wrong bank or position. Check that first

Look up the part number on pelicanparts.com and they'll tell you if the sensor you're looking at is a pre cat, post cat, bank one (closer to engine header), or bank 2 (closer to firewall header). Someone correct me if I'm wrong, its how I remember things
