I am going to vote that he bent them out to prevent the edges rubbing the paint at warpspeed.

Actually, the tow-hook attached bracket that I bought did this for me.

And yes, they are camera phone pictures.

It was a filter on my friend's phone, lol.

I really need to get a real camera.

Seriously tough crowd. Not the world's best pics, but it's a pretty new car to him and he probably just wanted to post a pic or two. At least that's my guess.

On to other topics. I don't know how I'd feel about snow in an area that salts the roads. (Do they salt where you are?) I'm not one of those "never get your car wet" types, but salt/snow, that's another story.

Aside from that I take it you're enjoying the car and having fun in the snow with her? Stock, expect for the tow hook license holder and the snow tires?

Once I realized I was going to keep the car a good long while, I stopped driving mine in winter, and I'm better than most Chicagoans about washing the under-carriage and keeping the car clean (I do those once a week). That said, we do have a 10-year rust warranty so they should be able to take it. I've seen a guy in our parking garage at work driving his Interlagos coupe in a foot of snow.

He drove it for a couple of months without one of his kidney grills after last winter, and I always wondered it the lost to the deep snow. I haven't seen it there this winter.
