"waiting to be released to carrier" status

Hi guys,
just wanted to see if anyone else has an M3 "waiting to be released to carrier" status today (5th January).
Does anyone have any idea how long before it gets a ride to the U.S. ?.I'm on the west coast , so i guess it will take four weeks from today (5th Jan ) until i pick up my order(finger crossed).

Thanks for the reply THE TECH, got a message today that my order has been released to a carrier and is waiting for transport to the port of exit. I assume it has a spot on a carrier
and is waiting for the ship to leave for the U.S

Oh so you are still waiting for truck to take it to the port. That will usually be a week or so and then when it gets to the port it could get loaded right away or another short wait for a boat to arrive.

I get it , "released to a carrier" means it is on a truck going to port, thanks again.

Not sure what production week it was , but i ordered on the 30th Nov 2011 , production started on 14th Dec and now is in transit to port of exit (4th Jan 2012). The production period was longer than normal compared to others i have read, i assumed it was because the factory was closed during the holiday period. When did you place your order, the anticipation can be
frustrating, hope things move quickly for you.
