Tires for 18x8 and 18x9 wheels?

Guys,

I'm looking to pick up the captioned set of wheels. I'm going from OEM 19's to this set up to mount all seasons. Can you advise the best tire set up for these wheels. I was thinking of doing 245/40/18 Front and 265/40/18 Rear.

I want to make sure my cruise control and speedometer does not go out of whack with this set up. Another concern is whether this is too much tires for 18x8 and 18x9 wheels? I want a meaty look considering I'm riding on stock suspension...

Thanks!

Bump for some solid advice. I'm close to getting these spare wheels and am considering 245/40/18 fronts (18x8) and 265/40/18 Rears (18x9). I'm putting all seasons on them considering we don't get consistent snow in these parts. These wheels will be my winter/spring set up.

I'm no expert, but I think that would be your best choice. Your other options would be 235/40 or 255/40 front and 255/40 or 275/40 back, but since it doesn't look like a 255/40 is listed as fitting an 8" rim for most tires and going to 235/40 would be a little smaller and not what you would prefer. I think everything else would be too far off in diameter unless you want to get real skinny, like 225/45 in front. You could also do 245/40 front and 275/40 back, but that would likely be too much difference in diameter between the two for traction control issues and also cause more understeer.
