OP: My situation is similar but also slightly different. This past Tuesday, I received the same error messages with my Mom's 2010 528xi along with a battery discharging message.
The car hadn't been driven for awhile and the Battery had discharged quite a bit. I received the Battery Discharged Error Message along with the ones you experienced. I called BMW Roadside Assistance, they jumped the car and I immediately drove it to the Local Dealer. Dealer cleared all of the codes and told me these were normal codes for when the battery is discharging or discharged. Good Luck and Congrats on your New 5 Series!

^ My Dealer pulled up a Vehicle Driving History and pointed out that Mom's 528xi was averaging 1-2 miles per trip during the last 36 trips. Not enough to charge the Battery.
I have a Battery Tender for my M3 (stored during the Winter). If your Solar Powered thing doesn't work, you may consider a tender. Saw you're at the Jersey Shore, I visit Family in SH often...... Kind regards, Chris

^ Glad to learn the solar battery tender works! If you get a chance, would you be able to share the manufacturer info? My "plug-in" tender is only good in my garage and I sometimes have to park at the airport for a week+.
Nothing like the Jersey Shore! Have been going since '90 - Enjoy!

I also do a lot of short trips and go away for weeks at time, the optima can be fully discharged and recharges faster than the OEM battery, it's a marine battery like they use on boats, which don't get driven daily. |
