Wheels back from the powder coater...

Just couldn't decide on new wheels so I had the stock ones powder coated at a local shop.

(Also swapped out to some Akebono pads and decided to paint the calipers while I was at it...)

Check it out:

I like it! Looks great! How much did this run (powder coating, tire dismount and remount/balancing)?

The wheels look great. However, i would not painted the calipers red or any bright colors because all it does is highly how tiny our stock brakes are. Also, i did not realize how big the wheels gaps are (get some springs or coilovers and drop it)

For some people stock height is the only way to go due to weather and/or road conditions.

Also keep in mind that the car actually sits a quarter of an inch lower while traveling.

I think it looks great!

Wheels look good, but I can't stand painted calipers.

Reminds me of this:

Looks great...thanks for sharing. Got any other angles of the entire car? I like the red caliper, actually, as it provides some contrast behind the dark wheels.

Trust me i know! My Z4MC only drops about 3/4" with Eibach springs and there are many places i cant/wont go. For road conditions, it should matter that much with a proper setup. For Weather, the OP is from Texas so there are nothing to worry about

Thanks for the feedback! I'm pretty happy with how things turned out.

I've been considering a drop, but still undecided on just springs or switch to coil overs. Besides, I'm in no hurry - there are lots of those large speed bumps at my work...

$380 to strip, sand blast, and powder coat all 4 wheels + $40 for dismount, remount, and balance the tires.

When I started looking at powder coating, I had a hard time trying to find pics with this specific color combo - hope these help ya...

I'd get the roof professionally painted gloss black, or get a rear CF roof. Thats what I meant
