My system pops, backfires and burbles (no flame), but I always thought it was normal byproduct of the headers etc. At what point does it hurt components?

I would assume when it comes to the point where you're running too rich where you start to build-up along the downpipes and it ignites always

It doesn't hurt things, any car without cats can have exposed flames out the tailpipe, the cats prevent it. Tuned cars with higher overrun or simple higher IDC will do it more.

Haha. Well, I think one is excused if there is actual power behind the effect, and it's more or less unintentional. I was more thinking of fabricating stuff just to get flames.

still a guess but there's a particular businessman in singapore who owns the most famous collection of exotics - one pagani car (started with a zonda s, then a zonda f, and i'm thinking now the zonda cinque), an f40, an f50, an enzo, a testarossa and a bevy of lesser exotics like an lp-670sv, 599 gtb, 997.1 turbo, f430, phantom, s65 amg etc. his daily is the 997 turbo and i regularly see him at foodie places in it. i've never spotted his personal pagani in-person ever so seeing the cinque in video is quite the sight. he also changes cars like we change clothes so his stable is always different, but he always keeps the classic ferraris.
