The runflat tire won't make you safer.
When was the last time you had a flat tire? Best advice you can get is to get another sets of wheels, because not all shop will touch those runflats, and if they do they will charge more and over time it might cost more than having a separate set. I think most 17" BMW OEM wheels will do just fine, check the local ads for cheap rims.

The runflat IS a safer tire, and in the case of a blowout, you'll be able to drive on it. If you have non-runflats, you better also buy a spare tire.
I've had 4 flats in 2 years, and the runflats saved my ass a few times where I had to continue driving on them to get to a shop. I've also never had a problem of a tire shop not knowing how to change a runflat. |
