Fair price on '08 E90 M3 w/ 15,xxx mi?

I've found what I believe to be The One, but the price feels a bit high.

$47,9xx
2008 M3 Sedan
15,xxx mi
Carbon Leather trim
Premium Package
Technology Package
Moonroof
Rear PDC
Style 260 wheels

Any opinions? Should I sign the dotted line?

Assuming its a CPO from BMW, its still a little high. I purchased very similar car/mileage l2months ago from BMW (certified) for 46,500.

Not a CPO - it's sitting at a CarMax, which is cause for suspicion in my opinion. Has anyone ever managed to get them to budge on pricing? I've not dealt with CarMax before, but I've heard their 'No Haggle' business is really just 'we'll keep moving this car around til it sells at this price.'

I've looked at a few non-M3 cars at CarMax, and their "no haggle" pricing really is no haggle. There's no room for negotiations, everything is how it pulls up on the computers at the sales person's desk. They'll just sit on the cars until they sell at the listed price.

Depressing. Did you have a trade-in at the time? I wonder if there's room to work with in that regard.

The same "no haggle" applies for trade too. They looked at my car for about 20 min and offered about 15% less than what I thought it could realistiscally sell for privately. The trade-in offer was take it or leave it.
They view the two transactions completely separate, so you can buy without trading in, or sell them your car without buying from them.

If you have the time, it doesn't hurt to bring your trade over and see what they'll give you. The offer is good for 7 days/200miles I think. You can at least use that as your trade baseline as you talk to other dealers.
