Question Alcantara (suede) Door trim weather resistant?

Hey guys

may be a silly question but thought about this last night when it started to rain out here....Are the alcantera door panels scotch guarded?

I would assume the german engineers did but wondering if anyone knows for sure.

Thanks

From Wikipedia:

"Alcantara is composed of about 68% polyester and 32% polyurethane giving increased durability and stain resistance. The appearance and tactile feel of the material is similar to that of suede, and it may be incorrectly identified as such."

Personally, I think it gets ratty looking in short order, and I can't stand the feel of it - but that's probably just my intense jealousy of your 1M.

Actually - now that you mention it - scotchgarding it would probably be a good idea. I have already scotchgarded my carpets.
