Considering M3 but have questions
Hi all, this is my first post on this forum, I'm currently talking to Ryan @ Steve Thomas BMW (this was after reading all the positive comments about him), I've been considering the 335is for a while now but I also realized that with the deal Ryan offered I could get a M3 instead.
I already know what options I want but had a quick question about the M3. Why aren't the halo's LED's like the regular 3 series? So currently I'm waiting on numbers for September to be released! Thanks to Ryan ahead of time! |

No reason other than BMW chose to not change them. You can get a set of LUX V8 H3 for a couple of hundred bucks and get to effectively the same end result (there are more/less expensive options too).
In my view, the angel eyes should have no impact on the decision for the M3 (not that it is for you, just saying) because it is easy and inexpensive to correct.

Because 2012 is the last year of the M3, and BMW would have had to redesign the bumper/light assembly to retrofit LED angel eyes. Not enough unit sales to justify the costs, as I understand it.
PS, only the coupe/cabrio series-3 have LED angel eyes, not the sedan. The sedan is almost and end of production, too. |
