Black Side-Markers Thanks IND!!

Thanks IND! The pieces arrived beyond perfect and I could not imagine them being packaged any safer. The quality is perfection and very much so looks OEM. The paint quality/ outcome is that good!

**They look very bad ass, especially when illuminated**

Honestly install was a bitch at first. I have never done it before nor did I know exactly what to expect. A good thing is that these pop off like an e9X M3 so there are plenty of install videos out there at this point to get you through.

When I did this I had a hard time getting a good grip on where I need to squeeze to release the tabs. I bought mechanics Gator skin gloves in the past, I decided to use them since I had zero grip with bare hands and they made it very, very easy(enough very's) lol to get the grip and leverage I needed. The side markers simply pop out and act as a plug n play. To unplug you need to un-clip. The clip is thick yet does not like too much force, I broke the clip on my right side assembly being too aggressive with the flat head. Thank gosh these cars are as over engineered as they are There is no way in hell it could slide off, worst case. After you have it un-clipped you simply unplug the old and plug in the new. Pop the side marker back in gently after checking to make sure all the lights work and you are good to go. Make sure all of the clips are securely fastened before finishing up this install. I went inside due to the rain and went out shortly after just to take another look. When I applied pressure to make sure they were fully clipped I was surprised to hear a new fasten. I strongly feel if I did not triple check I could have had water damage. Just a reminder no matter how many times you check and think you are done, just check again it is very worth it.

Watch this for DIY install!

Watch the first 40 seconds of this video, it is really all you need...

If I had to add anything that I know I would want to hear/ know about...

it takes a good amount of force to get these off... or at least an amount of force most of us are afraid to use due to breaking something... After about spending a couple minutes trying to break any of the clips free I told myself that this is something that needs to be done by someone else with experience. What makes it difficult is the grip, if you do not have grip you will end up applying too much force and most likely breaking something. I do not give up easily and I had Gator Skin gloves that I purchased for taking the JB+ in/out of 135 laying around. I decided to give them a shot, despite it seeming a little overkill for such an install. I strongly feel these rubber gloves made it possible for me to do this myself. After getting the grip I needed, I found myself applying less force and more precisely. When you can precisely apply the pressure needed you really do not need as much pressure to begin with, thus making it less of a possibility of something breaking/ going wrong. I will gladly help anyone who needs it, just let me know!

Haha, I love doing stuff like this inside the house. Pisses my wife off though, especially when I use our oven to bake on powdercoating.

Looks pretty sweet bro. Are the lenses new or just the painted housing?

Anyone have PICS of these on White Car?

I have been very tempted by these. Anyone have pics on a white car? The black with clear lenses, not the smoked lenses?

Please do, I'm interested as well. I may go back on my keeping it stock, and go for the black grills and black side markers on the AW.

IMO you can not go wrong with gloss black on anyone of these colors. They all look great, in their own way.

Hey Metak, when you do post the pics in addition to the close-ups could we get some a little farther back to show how they look when looking at the whole car? Much appreciated!

On my wishlist is a pic/video of how (orange) the illumination is. FI would appreciate a pic of the side markers together with the headlights
