Dealer trade across country?
Hey guys, I'm in the process of ordering a 2012 e92 M3 and just came across a 2011 demo that is the EXACT configuration I'm looking for. The only problem is the car is over 2000 miles away on the other coast. Would it be out of the question to ask my salesman to try and do a dealer trade for the car, or is that unprecedented for that kind of distance? I know that dealer trades happen all the time, but I'm not sure if there is some kind of limitation on the distance.
I appreciate the help. |

I'm no expert but the cost to transport a vehicle across the country run abour 1000-1700.00 depending on carrier etc. The dealer may frown on sucha interstate long distance swap.
IMHO get the last of the last 2012 built as you want it. |

shouldn't be a problem. One this to think about when buying a demo, is the condition of the car. Might have a few nicks in the hood, etc. obviously your local dealer will want to know you are buying the car before he spend the time and expense to transport it to you. I just had my local dealer trade for a car in FL (im in IA). Took 3 days I think.
