Door ding warranty

I was wondering if any forum members have this warranty and what it actually covers/what they do for you. Anyone know if it\'s possible to get this after you have purchased your car and a ballpark of how much it would cost?

i just traded my 2008 e93 M3 for a 2011 e90 M3, and decided to get this warranty. Cant recall the exact price but it was under $400 for 3 years.

Excludes dents greater than 4 inches, or inaccessible. Covers any steel or aluminum panel. Hail damage up to $1000, which can be used toward your deductible on your comprehensive insurance.

Service calls can be done at dealership or at home or place of business.
No deductible.
No limit on numbers of service calls.
No claim aggregate limit.
No mileage limitations.

Mine was through Safe-Guard Warranty Corporation, same company that I got my tire and wheel warranty from. Its called the "Florida Dent and Ding Protection Agreement"

It honestly sounded a little fishy to me, but it was cheap enough that I thought I would give it a try.

Technically, it is insurance, not a warranty. Warranties are provided by manufacturers to cover defects due to material or assembly.

You couldn't have said "it's called insurance, not warranty" like Greg did instead of misleading the forum about such a thing existing? I didn't know such a service existed, good thing I don't rely on your posts for accurate information and kept reading further down.
