Houston ///M Club Track Day: Saturday, Sept. 3rd

In the past few months our events have grown quite a bit. To accommodate for more M Club members, and to group drivers of similar experience together, we are planning to rent out the entire track for the afternoon.

We will have two run groups. A and B. We will alternate every 30 minutes.

A stands for Advanced. This is a group for drivers who have had at least 10 track day events under their belts. We will also have a few instructors in Advanced to help drivers in Basic.

B stands for Basic. This is a group for drivers who are relatively new to track days. Instructors will be available for "check-in" rides upon request. Full-time instructors will also be available at additional cost.

Each group will be capped at 20 cars. This is a number we ran during our July event. We will have corner workers to monitor the status of the track at all times.

Cost will be $170+tax. We need a minimum of 35 drivers.

Tentative Schedule:
12:15 Check in
12:50 Safety briefing
01:00 Track goes hot. Group A
01:30 Group B
05:00 Road course closes. Dinner sponsored by Momentum SW.
05:30 BMW Car Meet/Karting

Your Response:
Please reply if you will be attending. Please also indicate if you would like a check-in ride with an instructor.

Full time instructor is required for those who have never driven on a race track before.

Crap...you pick the worst weekends for me.

I'll be roasting at Schlitterbahn for the weekend.

For next time though...what is the requirement for tech inspections? Are passengers allowed?

Passengers only allowed for approved advanced drivers.

You are responsible for ensuring that your car is in safe and operable condition for the race track. A recommended check list will be provided.
