1M Oil Capacity

What is the oil capacity for the 1M for an oil + Filter change. In addition to the BMW free maintenance, I plan on changing my oil + filter on a more regular basis. I have not been able to find the oil capacity listed in my owners manual. Anyone know what it is? I will check with my dealer the next time I'm in.

...But (as already stated here), the 1M manual does say we have a V8

Per my oil change, dealer used 7 quarts

Documentation shows oil capacity at 6.9 US quarts (6.5 Liters) i.e. 7 Quarts

E82 6.9 (6.5)

Thanks - was it in our owner's manual and I just over looked it?

I'm old-school maintenance, so it will be changed regularly, and before the maintenance light says to after I do the 1200 mile service.

If you're old school like me then you will appreciate how easy these cars are to do an oil service on. It takes me longer to jack the front of the car up than anything else. I have a N54 135i, but apples to apples the same setup. I change my oil every 6K miles, and my filter every 3K miles.
