Polarized lenses and radio readout?!
I can't be the only one, but I use Polarized Ray Ban shades and I can't read the radio read out on the "professional" radio in my car with them on. Is there a solution for this?

Outside of tilting your head at least 45 degrees (90 would be perfect) No. The idiots who built the radio have installed the polarizing filter in the radio dial 90 degrees off axis (from every pair of polarized glasses made in the world), so when you wear your polarized lenses the axises are cross polarized, closing the apeture for light to pass thru.
Think of 2 sets of venetian blinds. Your eyeglasses are horizontal blind slats and the radio dial's have been mistakenly installed in every radio in the vertical position. Since the "slats" are so closely spaced, no light gets thru. (Yeah... I'm an Optician) |

^^ It works, but not perfectly. I think something better than a transparency film might work better, but it worked good enough for me for the price.

I bought a pair of sunglasses yesterday. Non polarized.
I like a pair of polarized ones, but went to the car with them, and kept toggling the radio on and off. Could not see the radio display AT ALL! |

another nice example for cultural differences. In Germany almost no one wears polarized lenses. I think i am the only one, and I got mine for fishing in Florida, had to custom order them at the German optician after I finally could explain him what I needed....
