Production Started!

Hi All,

I figured it was time to say hello. Thanks to my wonderful wife, I ordered a 2011 E92 a short while ago. It shows that it started production!

335i is for sale, and can't wait to get the M!

The car was already on order by the dealer, but I purchased the slot before production started and was able to build to my specs. I finished the deal last Tuesday.

Congrats on the order, this definitely is a support group. I also jumped on the remaining slot and placed order tuesday july 12th. Im still in status 112- awaiting production.

Aww, so lucky. I placed my order on Jun 22nd and am still waiting for production to start, dealer said first week of August. Real jealous. This wait is really killing me haha.

Question: Your username causes me to wonder what kind of issues you were having with the 335i that made you fed up with it. What happened?

Thanks. Can't wait for it to get here.

I won't be a bore with a bunch of details, but I bought the 335i as a CPO, had some small issues (brake squeal, brake lights, USB, and a few others) and it took multiple visits to the dealer to get it right. Luckily, the ASM at the dealer is an enthusiast, and very good with people and cars. He more than made it right, which is why I ordered the M3 there. After about the first 2 months, the 335 has been great, but now I'm stuck with the screen name.

Congrats on the new purchase. I ordered my first M3 on Feb 21st and it arrived a couple of weeks ago but was the wrong spec (dealer screw up).

I ordered my second on May 28th, and production started on July 11th. I'm hoping to have mine by the middle/end of August. The wait is killing me!

I ALMOST got that interior. I wasn't sure what I would think of it in 3 or 4 years though. And wifey likes the plain black.
