Need new tires. Couple questions.
Will 285/30-19 fit 19x10 ET25 on a stock suspension M without rubbing? It's 275/30 right now; however, I would prefer not to have that stretched look.
I couldn't find a definitive answer from search.. my fronts still have good tread (60% left), however; the rears are gone. As of right now, Front/rear are the same tires but I would like to try new tires. Will mis-match tires cause any problem? (Spirit drive and street) For those who gone through more than one set of tires, if I put new ones at the back now, will I be able to change all 4 when the fronts are done? It's my DD and spirit drive machine. Can't wait to try some new tires. 1st - Continental ExtremeContact DW (Max Perf, 285/275, UTQG 340) 2nd - Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta (Max Perf, no 285, UTQG 280) 3rd - Nitto Invo (Max Perf. 285/275, UTQG 260F/220R) TIA, Last edited by ZeD4Mr; 07-15-2011 at 11:09 PM.. |

I'm currently lowered on h&r springs and 275/30/19 tires with a 22 offset in the rear and there looks to be a ton of space. I think there is another person or two that ran 285's in the rear with no issues.

Have you dialed in any negative camber in the rear? Tons of space on the road side or strut side with your ET22? Which tire are you running?

Maybe just check and see how much room you've got currently, with the 275s, then decide from there?
When you lean the car harder rather than not, have you found ANY rubbing on the fender or plastic fender liner? (any at all?) I would venture to say that 285's will be okay on stock suspension. I'm running 19x10.5 +22 rear wheels, with 275/30/19s, and they still rub the fender liner if I lean the car hard. My fenders are rolled, otherwise the tire would hit the fender, I'm positive p.s. I'm only slightly lowered on TCK D/A coilovers. Not too much lower compared to stock height. Last edited by mfanatic325; 07-28-2011 at 04:23 AM.. |

I don't know what my offset is exactly, but I do have the exact same wheel size as you mention on the rears (19x10.5). I wanted to go to a 285 but was told by the shop that I was already cutting it close with the 275. Btw, my car is lowered (Eibach).

I went to the tire shop and test fit 285/30-19... it fits. On the strut side 3/8 of an inch room and it stick out a little past the fender on the outside. This is a wheel 19x10 with ET25. Stock height, no mods.
If I drop or push really hard, I'll need to roll the fender and/or add negative camber at the rear. Anyway, I went with 245/275 setup and I'm loving so far.. thanks for the help.. |
