My New Agency Power N55 Down Pipe and dyno testing

My 2011 135I N55 fitted with Agency Power's new Down Pipe, Mid Pipe and Muffler, along with Burger Motorsports JB3 Piggy back tuner, Agency Power carbon fiber rear diffuser, and front splitters. Including custom made ISS Forged three piece wheels.

I just tested out the new Agency Power down-pipe along with the Burger Tuning Juice Box on my 135I N55. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. This is how the car should of been produced by and sold by BMW. In addition I already had the Agency Power Titanium Tip Muffler on car. When they first used my car for prototype work last July 2010, they added their Agency Power mid pipe to car as well, however i had them remove it until a down pipe and tune was made. Now in July 2011, the car is now fitted with Agency Power Down Pipe, Mid-Pipe and Muffler along with Burger Motorsports JB3 Piggy back tuner.

The results are awesome and as far as the driving, no more turbo lag and car responds quicker and sounds very aggressive. The top end seems to be unlimited. I will only say that after leaving Kingman, on the way to Vegas, I had the car at "140" on an OPEN ROAD, and car just wanted more, as if it was saying, FEED ME, FEED ME. However I chickened out because of the road I was on and not a track. Bring on the 1M and/or the M3 I've had a Porsche 911 Turbo and a Mercedes CLK63 Black Series before and this car is right up there now! Seriously!


The following write up is from Agency Power on the car and their dyno results.

"Agency Power has been working with the new models from BMW for a while. Since 2008, we have been producing innovative and better performing products for the then released 135i and 335i. From our catless downpipes, exhausts, charge pipes, blow off valves, midpipes, intercoolers, to carbon fiber aero pieces, there’s always something in the works. The latest coming release from Agency Power is the 2011 BMW 135i downpipe for the newly released N55 single turbo motor.

This test vehicle already had our Agency Power Titanium Tip Muffler, then we installed and dyno tested the NEW downpipe. After we got 25+ wheel horsepower on our Mustang Dyno, we then road tested the car and are happy to say it performs beautifully, and you can carry on easy conversation in the cabin just the same. Dyno results from the downpipe were 25+ whp and 12+ lb/ft tq at peak. In the mid range where it really is noticeable, we saw gains in whp of over 35 and torque of 30 lb/ft.

We then added a Burger Motorsports JB3 Piggy back tuner released for the new N55 motor to optimize the car for the additional flow. We ran the car once again on our Mustang dyno in 114 degree heat with 91 octane(that’s what we get in Arizona unfortunately) and saw further increases all along the curve. Adding the tuner picked up around another 20 wheel horsepower and 50 lb/ft torque within the power curve. This gave us a grand total increase of 45 wheel horsepower and 60 lb/ft of torque within the power curve. We did not have a chance to re dyno after adding our Agency Power Mid-pipe but in previous testing, the mid-pipe is good for another 10-20 wheel horsepower.

The Agency Power Downpipes on my N54 were the best thing I did too, other than a tune! I'm jealous of your dyno numbers on the Mustang Dyno. Mine were lower...although, I ran it in MAP 5 which Burger said wasn't the best way. I haven't dyno'd it with the downpipes yet though, just tune and muffler...

The first photo is a video. It had exhaust revs, etc in it.
