265/35/18 style 135 et50 fit on stock suspension?
Someone is selling their ZHP style 135 et50 18x8.5 wheels with 265 tires, so I wanted to make sure these tires would fit on stock 128 M sport suspension without any rubbing or fender rolling. I know that Gill from TireRack says the max tire size on 8.5 wheel is 255, but it looks like someone on this forum (think larryn) ran ZHP's on 275 Hoosiers, so logically the 265's should fit, but wanted to make sure before I went ahead and bought. I do not want to roll my fenders or have any rubbing issues. Can someone confirm? Tires are Sumitomo HTRZ II's. Thanks!

265/35/18? Sumo's run a little small in my experience. For sure that tire is too big for that rim but I don't think it will be unsafe or too ugly. I'd guess that it might rub a little with passengers in the car but wouldn't require a roll.
