When to order 2012 M3?

When will we be able to place orders for 2012 M3's?

I see a couple people saying they have ordered them already.

Thanks.

I'm curious about this as well. Start of production (SOP) of the 2012 E92 M3 is 9/11. Given that there is a 2-3 month order time, that would mean those orders were put in between 6/11 and 7/11.

We're currently half way through 6/11 and haven't heard anything yet on 2012 pricing and options... I'd imagine that it should happen any time now... perhaps the within the next 2 weeks?

Note: I'm just guessing, confirmation would be nice.

MY2012 M3 details and pricing will be published by mid-July, then official ordering will be enabled in the BMW system.

Maybe I should rephrase the question.

I am ready to purchase a M3. Should I order a 2011 or wait until the 2012's are ready for production? It's only a couple more months.......

It depends on when you want/need/can afford the car.

For me, I wanted an E90, and hence there was no choice but to opt for a 2011. Moreover, I wanted the car for the summer since it will be stored for the winter, so again, the choice was to go with a MY11.

It all comes down to your personal preferences.

There will not be any changes in the two, so i would say if your ready to go why wait any longer. However if you like the thought of having a 2012 then like you said it is only a couple months either way whenever your ready and would like a quote just let us know.

Unless you're buying cash, I'd go for MY11 for low finance rates.

Do you know for sure that there won't be any changes in the two? I'll be curious to see if there will be any price increases between the 2011 and 2012 E92 M3 models... if there is a price increase but no changes at all between the 2 models then that might convince me to look at the 2011.

you know what i dont get... production will end on 2012 maybe late that year.

My question is why get the M3 and pay almost 80k that you know the new one will be out maybe one more year after production year ends.

Probably soon. Last year I was going to order a 2010 M3 in April and they said they could put in an order for a 2011.

This is the last true NA M3 going to be ever built. Lots of people on here are not interested in a turbo M3 just like myself.

And its not $80k. I am getting my e90 M3 new for $61k OTD. Picking it up in Sept.

the new M3 will most certainly not be out a year after production ends.
Maybe 2014? Someone else can give a better idea as to that, but it will also not be NA- a sticking point to many.

Yeah they will probably skip a model year like they do every time. So there will most likely be no 2013 M3... That's a LONG time to wait...

I want to order a new E92 M3 too
So if the next M3 sucks, I'm covered

I don't want no truck engine in my car (new M5)
And I dont want a recycled/hand me down car like the 1M
I work hard for my money, and I like to think it's well spent
So if next one is more JOY than the ultimate driving machine, I can stick to my E92

Most probably it will be a 2013 E92/93 M3, but it will be a very short run. The F30 M3/M4 will be a MY2015 (early 2014) at the earliest .

Just waiting for the 2012s
This way I sell my 08 with 1 year left in the warranty, which makes it better for the buyer.
This time I'm going le mans blue
I always wanted blue, but interlagos looks purple in some light
So that turned me off

So far it's:
6MT
Le Mans Blue
Premium with black novilo and carbon leather
Competition
Cold weather
iPod/USB
Alarm
Power rear sunshade

So around $63k at invoice
Not bad
