talked to cobb today

well i talked to cobb today because they reflashed my AP because I totaled my last 135i and got another one.

Anyways, I spoke w/ Tim in Austin. At the end of the convo I asked him when the stage 2 maps and accesstuner software was going to be released and he told me that we're estimate about 4 weeks out and accesstuner will be released with the stage 2 maps, as this is usually how it goes.

I'll believe it when I see it directly from someone who actually works at COBB. The wait is killing us all. I want to use my meth sooo badly.

sounds promising but I won't believe it until I see it... I've been hearing chatter that stage 2 is only weeks away for a few months now...

all i know is I've seen their new n55 shop car being used for development, they sold their 2007 shop car after they released that, i know its in the works!

All i know is that i'm glad i got an 08 N54!!!

COBB has an office in Plano and Austin, HQ in Austin.

I have noticed that most of cobbs stage 2 tunes, for any vehicles they develop, include their own exhaust components (downpipes and or exhaust). I feel that the extensive time taken for stage 2 development may include their own "additional" components for the 1 series as well.

In reality though, there's a number of guys out there that are running the 'alpha' stage 2 maps... meaning they're in the final stages of testing and should be out soon. How soon? I don't know, but I can't friggin' wait for them.

Most likely correct as it was for the WRX. Stage 2 will likely be turbo back exhaust only. Maybe intake.
Stage 3 will include intercooler and maybe stage 4 will be meth unless meth goes with stage 3. Just look at how their stages are set up for their other vehicles. It's the same across the board
