259 or 375 wheels?
I want to replace the 19" wheels on my X6 with 20" wheels. I'd like to get you guy's opinion on my current front-runners.
Here are 259s on the blue car and a 20" reps of 375s on the white car (the OEM 375 performance wheels are 21"; I don't want to go to 21"). They run about the same price with the 259s just slightly more expensive, but not enough to care about. So, what do you think? 'simple' or 'complicated'? |

If you were to pick the OEM BMW PERFORMANCE STYLE 375 then its a no brainer...unfortunately, after a few encounters with the pot holes I am determined never to use anything but OEM..... |

I'd really like to get the OEM 375s, but there's technically only one tire set that fits that wheel, right? At approx $2500 at that. Buying them OEM will gain the first set of tires, but there always comes that time...
Is there any way to slightly cheat the tire measurements so that a more reasonable tire can be used? Hopefully non-RFT, or, say all-season (I know sacrilegious, but I tend to not curb my aggressive driving so much in the rain, so I'd feel safer with AS tires). Thanks for the thumbs up on the 375s guys. That's what I was hoping for, but I thought perhaps I was bananas. |

OEM 259's just dont look good on the X6 , as they look more suited to a Pickup/Ute etc. Replaced mine as soon as I was able.

Interesting comments.
I did not go with the 20" wheels on the X6 I just ordered - mostly because I really don't care for the look of the style 336 wheels. To me the 375s you posted pictures of, are similar to those and just not my style. I personally think the 259s look great on this car - and if I come across a set, I'll probably pick them up for my summer wheels. |
