Dyno Runs - Berk Technology Sport System
As always thanks to COBB and Rob for helping prove some of the mod's on my car as I continue to tinker with this car.
When comparing COBB stage 1 dyno graphs between 335's and 135's with no other mods its apparent the 335's made more power. The major difference between the two cars being the dual exhaust vs single exhaust. Well to see just how much power there was to be had we did a before and after run with the Berk Technology Street Muffler and Berk Resonated Midpipes. Dyno's were done on separate days but on the same dyno in similar temperature ranges (~85-95 F) End result 315whp & 375lb ft to the wheels now vs 302/362 before the exhaust. This is right in line with what the 335's are making as far as power goes. Just a hypothesis but i dont think 335's gain as much from their exhasut as we do, has anyone seen any good posts from a 335 comparison? Thanks to Berk Technology for making a really nice product that for sure makes some good power across the entire band. Not to mention how great it sounds too! Sorry no dyno graphs yet, so you'll have to trust me until i get a chance to put them up. I've only got them on paper right now. And here are the graphs finally! Next month i'll be doing a front mount comparison

Ah I see, I think if you do go replace your stock ones with Berk DP's to you should make an extra 15-20hp easily since DP's are a big restriction for us as well.
I was just curious if the dyno results had included them or not since I plan to get my car dynoed eventually with Berk Full Exhaust, DP's and the JB3 I am putting on today. |

So far leaning toward HPF since i've talked to someone that has it and has dyno proven it. They only saw about ~25 degree rise in IAT's during dyno pulls which is a huge increase in efficiency compared to what I am seeing with my stock one. Texas gets really really hot!
I have more research to do and of course getting a good deal from someone will seal the deal for me. This mod bug is destroying my savings

Berk DPs are catless, Macht Schnell offers a great DP as well.
Here's the Berk Sport sport system on our 135, equipped with Macht Schnell downpipes: Pushing +400hp with the system, we feel this combo is the best on the market.

Berk Technology makes the best bang for your buck CATBACK exhaust system. Under a $1K for a full exhaust system that makes a good amount of power and sounds awesome!

tom that sounds really good, not too far off of what mine sounds like right now either!
that car looks almost exactly like my car including the squirliness as it tries to go in a straight line without an lsd!

I've been afraid of putting exhaust on my car for fear of it sounding like a fart cannon, but this sounds very very good. I really like my black tips though...

This exhaust is also responsible for Berk taking home 1st place in the 2010 RWD Time Attack as well as first place in 2011 Global time Attack on their track 1er. Latest press release from Berk covering their 3peat at Fontana can be found here: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=539463

They do run a catted DP for the series. Berk uses the full race system, non-resonated midpipes.

Catted DP or catless DP with catted mid-pipe? On a performance stand point, I would guess they want the cats as far away away from the turbo as possible for quicker turbo spool, but close enough so they are functional since the sanction body checks to make sure they are operational cats.
