Cobb and ESS tune install
When using a tune like the Cobb or ESS does the device need to always be plugged into the obd2 port? Or only when I'm switching codes?

The only reason I had mine plugged in all the time on my WRX is to monitor data. I had a mount on my A/C vent and I just tucked the wires away. Being able to monitor live data is nice, especially if you don't feel like, or want to install a boost gauge or anything like that.

You do not have to keep your COBB AccessPORT unit plugged in at all times. It's only required if you're flashing the car, changing maps, data motoring, or clearing codes!
