14.8 PSI is what I've been told. Easy to check, just put in a "T" and add a gauge.

If you are not pulling in third gear, you may not have time to get to the full boost (IIRC). Does it seem to flatten out at 10.5 or just get there? DJ

Thats floored it just gets there and no more than that. The reason im thinking there is somthing up is because of the recall. I told the dealer that i have dinan installed and do not want it erased. The car doesnt feel the same or i could be just getting use to it. I wish had the gage installed before they touched it. I was reading on n54 web site and someone saying 13.5 boost for stage 2. If 8.3 is stock and im only getting 10.5 thats alot of dough for 2.2 gain

That seems low. I usually hit about 13.8 psi, and I also have Dinan Stage 2 and P3 gauge. Not to sound insulting or anything, but did you calibrate the gauge after install?

also be warned.
Dealers remove the Dinan when changing parts as the install new BMW software. They did it to me and then their 'dinan laptop' was out for repair. I had to come in again to have Dinan back on. |

Not insulting at all thats what this forum is for feed back. 13.8 sounds like it i would be happy with that. I did calibrate also. I am hearing funny noise when car shut off it sounds like a belt slipping then stops or a bad bearing. We will see i am going to take it in for its service and get dealer to check it out.

I'm going to my dealer to have my Dinan S2 re-installed. Seems every time BMW has a recall (did the HPFP & Injectors) and install a new BMW SW you have to re-install the Dinan SW. Funny thing was I had to talk to the Service manager before I could make an headway, seems a lot of service technicians aren't very knowledgeable even if they are a authorized Dinan service centre.

Brought it back to Autowest, but Brian Jessel is a Dinan dealer as well.
Mike I was in the same situation, after my HPFP & injectors my car felt slow. I double checked and they did install a new BMW SW. So I called Dinan and they confirmed that with every recall, Dinan issues a new SW. I would make an appointment with your dealer, mine took a few hours and was under warranty. Quote:
