These are being discontinued and are going on clearance because they are being replaced by the GTM unit.

PM sent. The GT unit and GTM unit both offer the same gains, approximately. The only difference is the sound.

They are double walled tips. The GTM unit rectifies the "rasp" noise that some customers complained about with the GT unit.

Correct, although it's much more pronounced in person.
