523i overheat 2005
my 523 iDrive says car overheating stop engine. i stop for 10min , start the car and i can drive for 70kms no problem. in the morning i drive for 10kms and the same thing happens again car overheat.is it because the waterpump runs at times and at times it doesnt. is it possible to drive 70kms with a faulty waterpump? is the waterpump electric or mechanical? if electrical where is the fuse?what is the no? please help before i lose a lot of money

do not drive once you get the overheat message...bring it to the shop; scratch that if possible, tow it to the shop and have it checked out. Don't want the car to over heat and the damage to your engine will cost you much more. Not familiar with the 525 engine though but I don't think it's electrical. The serpentine belt runs most of your accessories including water pump.
