Dct + Reverse
Is it me? Sometimes when I go from park to reverse it takes 2 moves of the selector to go into reverse. Sometimes it only takes one move. Any one else have issues with this annoying thing???

actually there are two little notches when you hold the side and push the lever forward. If you push it to notch 1 then it goes to neutral. Push it to notch 2 and it goes into reverse every single time.

To go to neutral You put your hand on the shifter and push it forward you will feel it click once. To go directly into reverse (again at this point the car is in drive just like before) You put your hand on the shifter and push it ALL the way forward...it will click TWICE. So you can go from drive to reverse everytime in one go..you just have to push it ALL the way forward. Hope this helps.

Uh that's because sometimes you push it harder so that you go past both points of resistance, D --> N --> R.
And sometimes you don't push as hard and only go past the first point of resistance. D --> N. It's not annoying. That's how it was designed, all new BMW automatics are like this.
