FS: Active Autowerke Gen IV Headers + O-Cha O2 Simulator

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
For Sale: Active Autowerke S54 Gen IV Headers with the O-Cha prototype O2 Simulator + header gaskets and bolts, all in the original box.

These headers provide up to 20whp depending on the rest of your car's setup. They are in great condition and still look nice and shiny, only about 10k miles on them. Shipping in the original box. Included is the O-Cha prototype O2 simulator, install the headers and still pass emissions! As stated, it is a prototype, and I did have issues getting it to work right but after getting the ESS tune, it worked like a charm, O2s read as OK and pass emissions testing.

$1,195 + shipping or local pickup.

Headers in action:

Looking at all the things you're putting up for sale, I have to comment that your car must have sounded like an absolute beast.

I think people should be aware the O-cha sim doesn't work. Nothing but an exercise in frustration.

It did work for me but ONLY after getting the ESS tune. ESS did not disable the sensors as I requested them not to and when I disconnect the ground wire for the sim, the SES light comes on so I know the sim is working. For the last 9,000 miles the sim has been working perfectly with no SES and O2s reading OK.

It did, the GruppeM with these headers made the engine sound amazing. I don't know why anyone would want to spend money on exhaust cans which produce a fabricated sound when they could do this which produces pure, non-fabricated engine noise and increased performance.

Possibly. I can't make any guarentees. All I can say is that it worked for me but only after getting the ESS tune.

So it can pass emissions testing. The tune itself cannot make the O2s show up as OK for emissions testing, the only thing it can do is completely turn off the O2s so you dont get a SES light. The issue with that is when you go in for your emissions test, the O2s will read as NOT READY and your car will fail the test.

So what I did was get the tune, told them to leave the O2s enabled, and used the sim. So when I went in for emissions testing, they showed up as OK and it passed even though I have headers installed

I offered you your money back. You got a discount as a test subject. And you had other issues w/ your car that prevented even working with you.

They might have done something that effected it.

I decided not to sell them because of car to car variance. It was too hard to get people to "dial them in". It was something easy for me with my resources, but others were having too hard of a time.

You never offered me my money back. The 'discount' really wasn't worth much since you yourself admitted your product didn't work.
As far as other problems with my car, you said one of my O2 sensors was bad, but that still doesn't explain why your product couldn't turn off the codes on the good sensor.

I absolutely did you repeatedly said it "wasn't important". Not about to get into an argument.
