Rearview mirror fell off

Posting this for my wife's uncle. On the trip back from Philly his rear view mirror fell off. I don't know how to post the pictures I took. Rearview mirror is intact it came unglued from the windshield itself. Is it possible to reglue? He rather fix it himself if possible instead of going to the dealers to get ripped off over something that is minor considering it's just a rearview mirror. The rearview mirror has the clown nose alarm light & the homelink garage unit on it. Any helpful info would be useful. Oh if anyone wants to see the pictures I could always email it to them. Thanks.

You can get the glue from any auto store.
