Missing tow hook cover. Argh.

I know there have been posts about this before, but now its personal.

Do these things ever just fall out? Really now. My car is one month old. One month... and the dang tow hook cover thingy is missing already.

I will speak with my local dealer to find out if there is any help available. However, I am inclined to buy one on eBay and then make a few dozen copies. At this rate, I will need hundreds of them during my ownership tenure.

So if they don't just fall out, and my bumper was not hit, it must have been stolen.

Reminds me of what my son-in-law says about the Army. "There's only one thief in the Army. Everyone else is just trying to get their sh!t back."

I lost mine when we had the snow storm here in TN. I think a truck threw some ice on the front of my car and I guess it hit it just right to fall off. I know it was not stolen because there is NO other 1ers around here. Look Dan up at United BMW. He sent me one for I think $14. I'm having mine painted along with my side skirts.

Car wash stole one from my M3. They are not cheap to replace ~ $100 painted.

Finally got my new tow hook cover. At Cain BMW in Canton Ohio it was $20 + $15 for paint. Seems to be a broad spectrum of pricing on these.

Now I am poised... waiting to pounce on the next criminal who approaches my front bumper.

Mine went missing after about a month of ownership. My dealer wanted 90 for one painted but replaced it as a good will gesture. I then bought one unpainted for 12 and am using that. Ill put the painted one back at lease inspection
