2009 M3 E90 - Just purchased!!!
2/23/2011 - Pics are at the bottom for those that do not care about the experience.
SO first and foremost - this forum rocks - ive been reading pre and post purchase... So here it is - I bought a Jerez Black on Black 2009 BMW E90 S65 M3. I bought it from a guy who was about 57 years old, had a total of 3,067 miles when I drove it off the driveway. he has had 18 other bmw's and drives a really nice porsche carrera 4s as well. along with some other fancy vehicles - hadn't hit the power button yet - Here are the specs of the car.... Chassis Number : XXXXXXX Technology Package 0ZTP Premium Package 0ZPP Tire pressure monitor 02VB CO2 relevant vehicles 01CA Moonroof 0403 Adjustable front armrest 04AE Adjustable seat width/lumbar 0490 Smoker's package 0441 Rear center armrest 0497 Heated front seats 0494 Alarm pre-wiring 05GA Folding rear-seat headrests 05DC Rain sensor and auto headlight 0521 Park Distance Control (rear) 0507 BMW TeleServices 06AA Ambiance lighting 0563 iPod and USB adapter 06FL TeleService Control 06AB Satellite radio w/1 year sub. 0655 Online Information Services 0615 Enhanced Premium Sound 0752 DVD Area coding, North America 0697 TeleService Activation 08SC Shadowline exterior trim 0760 Shipping package 0925 CO2 control 08SP This thing rocks - at first I was a little cautious driving it hard, but then i had to remind myself i still have warranty and that the car has an ///M badge on it for a reason.. 3/18/2011- The car now has about 4600 miles on it, im sitting at work writing this post when i should be focused on closing deals (i work in sales)... So far i have gunned it too many times to count 0-100... THE M BUTTON is phenomenal - i love going 100mph and then hitting it while flooring it and it leaps forward with more thrust ive gone to my first BMWCCA meet at Blackhawk museum which was killer awesome - the people in the clubs are pretty cool. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thinking about all the mods i want to do.. - black chrome grills/side grills, an akrapovic exhaust, V1 mirror - i have been to Alekshop about 2 times in the past week and half...have a list of mods i want to do...also zhp shiftknob side note - forums, driving- straight addiction/obsession of mine lately. I also have ordered a custom license plate which only BMW Enthusiasts will understand, the engineering series and model number of the engine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have some really really (funny to some) newbie m3 questions that i couldn't find on the forums - Engine warm up is needed or not? is it bad to accelerate full throttle all the time? (i've been watching the oil levels and they are pretty good) got an oil change as well first thing... I've mis-shifted a couple of times into third? what damage does that cause? Any common malfunctions i should be aware of? What are the cheapest sites/shops that I can get OEM bmw parts? Anyone lower their car with BMW Performance Parts? Tints? and Pics? Any mods I should stay away from so I do not void my warranty? Is there a way to get Brembo Brake Pistons (red authentic calipers) without paying for the entire brake set? where possible i would appreciate any links to pics to above mentioned questions too any mods that are a must? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- BMW Golden Gate Chapter Meet https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink Pics of the VEHICLE - better ones to come https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink Here we are driving to the blackhawk museum https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink BlackHawk Museum https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink One day it all started with something that looked like this.... https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink What a transformation https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink Last edited by rockstarm3; 03-18-2011 at 05:44 PM..
