heli_ben, if at all possible, could you record the (engine) sound from inside the cabin? The vimeo video that was recently posted, then taken down, was extremely encouraging.

Congrats, you must be stoked!
Also, prolly a minor thing, but can you tell us after your ride of the shift knob is illuminated like on all ///M cars? Top Gear reported it was, but no one else has confirmed it, leading me to believe it is sadly not.

Great!!
Some impressions about the sound would be great. Do you have anything to compare it to? An 135i for example? |

135 is fairly quiet is it not?
The 1m has the same engine as the 335IS correct? If it sounds even half as loud as the 335is its going to sound very good |

135 fairly quiet? You certainly haven't heard an N55 135 have you? Either way, yes, this car is supposed to sound much more aggressive than the N54 135. I think we are in for a good surprise!

Then i misunderstood your post. But anyway: I don't think they made the N55 sound better than the N54, it's the different engine and that single turbo setup that sounds different or - let's say - better than a N54. I don't expect much suprises from the 1M sound wise. But I hope I will be surprised. |

I have just had the following photographs emailed to me from my dealers phone. He was at a BMW staff training day day yeterday I believe they may be of the very car you are going to get a ride in next week?
