1M in VO @ BMW Welt (postponed)

Hi there

No goods news on that topic.
Just called at BMW Welt and they said the planned switch to the VO car today won't happen. Next planned date will be Friday 18th, but even that is not confirmed and could be postponed.

So, if anyone wanted to see the car in VO like myself: wait...

I can confirm the postponement of the VO 1M @Welt...

The lady I just talked to @Welt has no hard info why or when the VO 1M will be on display. She said they should know more by March 18th (Friday). She said to check back then.

Well. Basically it's not a big problem for me. I'll go next week then. Ready for some nice results picture wise.
Only thing that annoys me is that I want my colour option fixed. With planned delivery end of June I should still have plenty time, but my dealer's statements aren't precice and he says if a late change happens he "can't gurantee for anything regarding the delivery time".

I know it shouldn't make a difference, but yeah: "should".

I went thru the same thing when I ordered my 135i last year. First I placed the order with Montego Blue... but then every 135i I would see was M.B. Plus I did not like the way that color looked under certain (low)lighting conditions. So I changed my order to silver (TiAg), just a week later. I had to sign a document saying they could not garranty a silver color change. But a few days later I got the word my car would be built in silver! I think the dealer was just covering their butts. Just a few days after I changed the color of my car - Leipzig built my car.

Very bad news!!!! I've booked this weekend a 2 day journey in Munich just to see the VO. I hope it will be there at least at monday 21 March. Otherwise i will be very disapointed ....

Please keep us informed if you know more

BMW's planning seams to be pretty bad. Or BMW-Welt is on the bottom of their priority list, but anyway they should think a little about their customers, we have to plan, too.

My next call will be on Friday, I guess Dackel's too. So let's post our results and let's see if they can manage the car change on Friday for the weekend.
But since the information were very vague about Friday, my fear is that there won't happen anything this week.

Ah, sure! They will exchange the cars. So currently, there is a black one there and will be there until they will show up with the VO one.

Yup. No VO //1M this month.

The lady I spoke with said that the VO //1M will be on display sometime after the middle of April! She did not have an exact date though.

The BSM car will remain in the Welt until the VO car arrives.

I think at the moment - the only place you can get to see all three colors side by side is at Leipzig Werk.

Just today there was a member on the 1er forum who toured Liepzig Werk. He saw all three colors in teh final production phase of the factory. He said white looked to him as the best color. But then again... he ordered a AW //1M!!! lol

I really am surprised by BMW's total FAIL on the colors of the //1M. I would have thought by now they could have shown us all three colors side by side - SOMEWHERE! Either at Leipzig or Detroit or the Welt. I winder if they will even have a //1M at the IAA (Frankfurt Auto Show) in Sept of this year.

BMW has flown these preproduction M's all over the world... yet they can't get three colors side by SIDE for us to see! FAIL.

Exactly, I mean they already sold almost all available 1M before the people even can see the colors side by side. So, at the time you'll be able to do that, you won't be able to buy it anymore.

I am writing this from my hotelroom in Munich... I just visited Welt and guess what ..... the BSM 1M has been removed a few days ago. So i drove 870 km to get here and there is NO car!

I felt so disapointed and stupid when i asked someone where it was.... unbelievable!
