If your car is a Canadian car you do not have TPMS but the FTM which does not require sensors.
I just read the rest of your thread.Forget about the 888's as they are not a very good tire for an M3 if my experiances are anything to go by.A 265/295 is too much a stagger if you want to have a well balanced car that does not understeer too much. With your setup a 275/35 square or a 275 -285 combo would probally produce better results.I would think a Nitto NT 01 or an Nt05 if you would like a street useable setup with very good life. Thanks.
Yes my car is Canadian, So I can just slap on tires and ill be set? And thanks for the advice on tire setup. I like staggered so i think ill go 275-285. Can I go 275/30/18-285/30/18 or is 275/35/18-285/35/18 better. According to the online tire calculator each will be about 1-3% off stock.. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but FTM uses rotational comparison to check for low tire pressure correct? So long as you reset after the tire swap, pretty much any tire combo will go (even if one setup yields a lower or higher tire combo back to front)?

Correct but I have never varied the tire height ratio front to rear enough to see if there is a maximum range of rotational speed difference that can be tolerated by the FTM.

You just reset and everything is ok. In fact you can reset it with a flat and the light will stay off (found this out the hard way on my 06 330i..... its a long story). Different tire diameters than OEM are irrelevant as long as you reset the system when the new tires are installed. |
