Tire Size Recommendations
Need to replace my rears. I ran 245/35/19 fronts and 285/30/19 rears last year (Advan Sports) and liked the look. Was reading this is too much of a delta for understeer. Should I go down to a 275/30 to match up with the fronts better? 9.5 front wheel and 10 rear with Eibach drop. Thanks!

you would want to do 275/35, not 275/30 (which is too short). that would be my recommendation, and you could switch the fronts to 255/35 when the 245's wear out. this would get you to the OEM stagger - 20mm wider tires in the rear (as opposed to the 40mm wider rears that you have now).

I have a related question. I'll be replacing all four this spring and I'm thinking I'll try out the new SuperSports. I have stock 19s with stock suspension and 15mm front/12mm rear spacers. Looks like 275/35 is the way to go for the rears. Will I have issues if I go to the 255/35 fronts to keep the 20mm stagger or should I keep it with the stock 245/35 size?
Thanks. |

Yes, your are fine. The increased understeer is likely something you would only notice on a track. Even if you get in a situation where the car understeers a bit, it's not a big deal.
