Best stopping distance?

Is there any reason not to believe that the 1M will have the best stopping distance of any consumer-line BMW? (given the M3 brakes and lighter weight).

Good point. Most likely will stop better then the m3.

Well, excpept BMW must have sabotaged it in some way... because they wouldn't let the 1M outperform the M3...

Any modern brakes are capable of locking up the wheels in their first panic stop, thus the size of the rotors, number of pistons, etc. make little difference to stopping distances on the street. There are other factors to consider here: rotational inertia, weight distribution of the vehicle, weight transfer under braking, available grip, and so on.

Ok, very good points. So, we'll have wait and see. Hopefully sooner, rather than later! (how about some press reviews already!)
