Wheel spacers: Bulldog vs. Square
I want to get some spacers for the stock wheels on my 2009 M3 sedan. After measuring, it looks like I could use 12mm and 15mm (which I read somewhere is called "bulldog"). However, I have read that a lot of people prefer to go with a square configuration, with all four corners having the same sized spacer.
What are the pros and cons for each? Is it purely aesthetics? Does one produce faster tire wear or better handling? |

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

While spacers do widen the M3s track width (by 1" or wider depending on fitment), it is mostly chosen for aesthetics. Macht Schnell wheel spacer reference thread http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=262054 Lots of examples can be seen in the above thread.
