Agency Power Titanium Exhaust With Mid Pipes
Not the best videos but I will get some more hopefully this week, These were taken from my iphone 4.
This exhaust is not for everyone but PERFECT for me....If your looking for an extremely loud exhaust this is perfect. For me this exhaust just made the most sense to me. I was looking for something with titanium tips, very loud, and a great price. Im still in college so Im not able to work as much as I would like so every MOD is on a budget. I purchased it From Defined Performance, http://www.definedusa.com/catalog/index.php and I couldnt have been more pleased with them. Jordan Cutbirth hooked me up with an insane deal on it. PM me if you are interested and I can set you up with him. Hope you guys enjoy, I havent seen this set up yet.... Sorry for having to redirect you to youtube it wont upload for some reason.. |

the agency power mid-pipes do not have any X or H pipe. Your left header bank and right header bank do not have an equilibrium with each other. both banks have to share the same flow characteristics. if not, your power band is not smooth, or even. you have a loss of power. this is a big no no for V'ed motors or even some inline motors. Along with a MUST with high revving. never the less, congrats on the purchase.

Lol...That made me chuckle...I was thinking the same thing. Why even write anything in the first place? Obviously this college kid is stoked about the new part for his toy...let him figure it out on his own whether it was a smart choice.

He definitely didn't lose any power . While your understanding of the funtion of X and H pipes is correct, you are not taking into consideration the removal of his primary cats. The power impact of removing the primaries will trump the power reduction of the missing x-pipe any day of the week. Not only are they 400 cell, but they are "crushed" to increase ground clearance. For this reason you see a lot of cars make great power with just the primary reduction (leaving the secondary 400 cell cats in place).

1 I think your right. The only way to tell is I guess dyno it but not exactly sure if I'm loosing power. Good thing this is my college toy and not my mid life crisis I have plenty of time to change it up if it's loosing power

The closer the X is to the Engine block the more power you will be making. Why do you think the Gintani system is making soo much power (see where they place the X pipe)
I have gone with a Straight pipe and X pipe setup on my C63 and it felt EXACTLY the same. The X pipe made the sound alot smoother, the straight pipe sounded MEAN but had too much rasp in between 2,500-3,200 rpm but I felt it did pull a little better on top end power. |

I feel like there could be a reason they are all over ebay for sale, a reason that would make me not want to put that on my car...

you should have just bought the Megan Racing and saved yourself $1200...I don't understand why anybody would purchase the Agency.

I pay more for brand names because I believe in the quality control. In this case, I'm not sure, because everyone says they are made in the same plant and are in every way identical. Does Agency have a sort of warranty or anything that would warrant a higher price? Or simply the name?.... because if its just the name, that name doesn't mean anything to me anyway so that wouldn't be a reason for choosing it.

The x causes the gasses to speed up or at least maintain their speed due to the scavenging effect the x connection causes. It also helps reduce the variance between the gas escaping the two banks of cylinders. You want the exhaust to have as high a velocity as possible to not slow down the motor. So I would ASSume that the closer the x is to the exhaust valves, the faster the potential velocity of the gas leaving the banks. But I am not an engineer and would be happy to be corrected |
