Advice needed.
Hello everyone,
My name is Alex. I am new to this forum, usually go on m3forum a lot. Because I currently have a e46 m3. Thinking about selling the e46 and upgrade to a e92. Here is what I found, 08 M3 SG on black 6mt 24660km with no accident Executive package BMW Individual audio system 19" wheels No navi 4 new ps2s It is a CPO with extended warranty 6yrs/160,000kms Dealer is asking for $55900 Is it a good deal? Any room on the price? I have talked with the SA, it seems there is not much room. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks a lot, everyone! |

I think it is a pretty decent deal. I got a crazy deal few months ago which was $57 for AW with Red interior with $35K KM, Winter tires + M3 18 rims for winter tires, Sport tires + another M3 rims for my sport tires. Navi, Park Distance Controll, Premium Sound, Comfort Access, ....
When you compare it to the deal I got, I think yours is a decent deal too.

By the way, where are you? If you are in AB, I can talk to the pre owned manager here and see what he can do for you (kind of a friend of mine)

Thanks for the reply, it is the one at BJ BMW. BJ lol I tried to offer them 60000 after tax, which is about 53500 before tax. But there is no luck for me, the sales said they just changed the rubber and the oil change. SO there is no discount on that car. but they can give me several dollors store credit. I don't know if I should just accept the price, I really like that car tho. Like you said, compare to other pre-owned e92 m3, the price is already good. Quote:
You got a killer deal there. Where did you get yours? I could not find very many pre-owned m3s here in vancouver. I don't know if I can get one from AB and just drive it back. But the HST is really killing me. |

Have you thought about looking in the US? That's where I bought my M3. And it's not that much of of a hassle as long as you do the paperwork right.

I would stay away from an american car, I looked at that option and in the end it just didnt feel right.
I think there will be alot more 08's on the market here soon as most the leased cars will be coming up soon, so why not wait and see what happens. I just bought mine, paid $52 after tax, space grey, red interior, 6 speed, nav, dsc, 19" wheels, upgraded sound, new ps2 tires 47000kms |

^^+1 i wouldnt get an american car cos it will make it harder to sell when you decide to get rid of it. unless of course you are going to keep the car for a long long time.
a friend of mine had an american car before and he has a hard time selling it as soon as the buyer realized that it was imported.

I have had it with a few cars and infact a lot of my friends are in the business, the US cars especially in these categories may seem cheaper on the onset but in the long run after taking into account resale values, depreciation, cert series, peace of mind are not worth the pain and hassle over a few grand
