Is that steering ratio related to any other BMW?

on paper the 1M doesn't seem to be much superior over the 135 according to those numbers but as we all know, it's not all about speed but about the overall balance of the car which the 1M will bring due to the suspension work

Just found that in a BMW note in a pdf around here: "M Drive button on the steering wheel, adjusting throttle response and M Servotronic settings"

What effect does this have on the steering?

limited slip is the everything planting that power down with traction completely off is going to amazing i am actually looking for to dct tranny that should be out late 2012 i might trade up only if it has m3 type dct where it almost goes in to Neutral when at stop i love that about the m3. Also the suspension should be something to rave about plus with n54 motor very tune-able lets see. Im excited i love the weird orange color love the the shape; but only design flaw i have found is where the eye brow is like led white and it has yellow rings im confused about that aspect of it, hopefully tat fix that maybe carbon fiber roof? tat'd be cool.

Here we go again.
NO, the 1M does not and will not get DCT.

I don't understand why some people state elsewise.

The 1M being built in 2012 isn't even happening at this point.

Not for NA anyways, for EU on the other hand?
A German guy posted his production date on the German forum yesterday and it said February 2012.
BMW also stated from the beginning that production would end in the first quarter of 2012.

From a business point of view, first quarter 2012 is Oct - Dec 2011.

My information from a Swiss dealer still is:
Production in 2012: yes. At least in the first quarter and that means January to March 2012.

What follows after that is not decided yet. My guess: They'll continue production. Don't think too much in that "very special limited" kind of way and get fooled. Too much potential customers and too much money to make.

And what kind of business should that be?

The 1M comes in at 3351 lbs. so roughly 22 lbs lighter.

With a heavier engine and differential, larger brakes, wheels and tires. We should be thankful it's not 100lbs heavier than a 135i

+ 1 You can add to the list heavier body panels, radiators, exhaust, etc.
