i think he means if you just do a tune
a tune works best if you have pulleys filter and a full exhaust

Best mod for looks is some wheels and a drop.
Best mod for suspension are coil overs for everyday use I would suggest KWV3 Best mod for performance is but a SC if your balling and if you arent get rid of those cats. Best mod for interior are BMW Performance Seats.

Tunes for NA engines do more for throttle response and ppl confuse that for "wheel horsepower" ...and they all cost close to $1k
Cats-Delete yield the most whp (also cheapest if u go custom - $500-$2500) Pulley next ($500 installed) Air Filter last (BMC, MS $100) A higher ratio diff will yield more torque (diffsonline) So its more like $2000 for 20-30whp And the 4 ppl who are dynoing 400whp are based on OE dynos that yield 360whp ....so 40whp from cat-delete, pulley, filter and tune is pushing the 'realistic' factor. |

I got Gintani race ehaust ($2,000), Challenege X-pipe ($1,100) and MS Drop in filter( $100) and I can definately feel the car got a lot faster then stock.
Whatever you decide, member cheap stuff doesnt buy you good products for this car. You want power, go with proven companies who actually provide gains. |
