Hey guys,

I'm thinking of getting the zeckhausen modified CDV.

Anyone have experience with this on a Non-M 5speed?

tough to install? any other brands anyone recommends?

Thanks in advance!

I just completely removed the valve myself and didnt bother wasting money on the replacement. No issues since.

I've considered this method as well. Good to hear a success doing this. I've gotten mostly used to shifting with the CDV, but it's still annoying.

There's no reason to buy a modified CDV if your car is out of warranty.

Just make sure the lines don't kink or bend if you remove it.

yea i believe the only reason not to completely remove it is because of warranty or if you have hard lines that you dont want to mess up to make up for the lack of the cdv

My car is still under warranty and I just yanked out the CDV. It's not like if your brake rotors warp they are going to deny warranty due to the removal of the CDV. Besides, I still have it and can always re-install it if I was worried about any warranty issues with the dealer.

CDV = Clutch Delay Valve

pretty much put there for people who suck at driving standard so they dont burn the clutch tho it just causes more harm than good

I got the zeckhausen simply because i'm under warrenty plus its not expensive so i didnt mind buying it

sounds good. I assume most repair shops would know what a CDV is?

Anyone have any location images? I assume if you can show the tech what I want removed they can popped it out.

in fact, I think I remember there is a CDV delete mod on here somewhere.

Let me find it.

The Zeckhausen website has some good info on it. Should get what you need here...

Thanks! really helpful.

Question, did anyone have any drive terrain issues or whatever this was suppose to save? I haven't drove stick that long, but I can drive fairly well. I can't do heal and toe and rarely ever have to downshift...so never got to practice those.. but I'm still learning every time I drive, do you think I could be in risk of damaging anything?

I'm going this friday to remove this sucker!

It's only supposed to help save burning the clutch from noobs burning it. Too much gas while riding the clutch pedal. You hear VRrrrrrrrrrrrrr for a really long time before the car moves.

But if you're pro racer, that doesnt happen.
