megan racing exhaust on e93 installation issue

so ive been searching high and low for an answer to my question. What support bar is it that needs to be "fabricated" on a e93 when installing a megan racing axel back exhaust? Or is it just something i need to unbolt? please let me know because i want to order the exhaust as soon as possible.

well i always thought that virtually the e92 and e93 share the same exhaust setup and that only the e90 setup is a little different. so i did some searching on the forums just to make sure and apparently something needs to fabricated, i just want to know what lol..

Likely referring to the support bar pictured here:

These images will show an Akrapovic Slip-On system properly installed, properly clearing the support brace:

I would highly recommend against modifying any pre-existing structural support systems to install aftermarket parts.

I have an RPI and it fit through the E93 support structure with no issues. Id be very weary of installing an exhaust that doesnt.

well according to the company this exhaust is made for the e92. I tried calling the company however they said that there is no real demand for e93 m3 exhausts ... and they did not want to disclose what was needed to be fabricated if i indeed wanted to install it on my car...go figure

That being said, time to search for a different exhaust.

it will not fit at all. I found this out after spending 3hrs taking the oem exhaust, a couple of trips to the hardware store to get some missing stuff, and another 2ish hrs of fitting the megan to finally get to the canister that would not clear the bar.

The issue is that the megan exhaust is ONE whole unit that has been designed without this bar in mind; the stock exhaust has a notch in the middle which is why the e92 and e93 have the same part. The only way to fit this exhaust is to either modify the muffler or the bar which is a big no no (provides support to the rear) So I ended up selling my megan and bought another one.

Hope that helps

btw. I saw your pics of the lip you are selling, what is the suspension/spacer mods on your car? Stance looks perfect. Thanks
