NEED HELP!

Guys- I have a 2008 Jerez black M3 sedan. 2 weeks ago my car broke down, violent shuddering sound from the hood, increased emissions notice on the idrive. Long story short- looks like the engine is a goner, has 27000 miles on it, been mostly babied, never tracked or in an accident. BMW has decided to REPLACE the engine with a new one, being shipped as we speak- all covered under warranty. I'm shocked and surprised to say the least. How much do you think this will cost BMW?. This has to be at least 15k. Can't wait to have it back. Anybody have any similar experiences? All scheduled service done.

I meant anyone heard of this happening? Would you keep a car like this after warranty expires in 2012?

Nope, trade that thing in. Car will be hard to get rid of down the road. If the dealership stands behind it's work, they should give you full trade in value.
